“Calendar of Flowers” was published as a three-volume set of books with most of the color prints extending across two pages. All the color images are reproduced below. Each page is approximately 8¾ by 61/3 inches or 22 by 16 cm, a size known as hanshi-bon. |

The covers of this three volume set bear the kanji 天 (ten),
地 (chi), and 人 (jin). These three kanji, which are sometimes
used in place of numbers, can be translated as “heaven, earth, and man”. |
